Title: Picture sizes for posts
Post by: FH Fairy on August 03, 2011, 06:33:16 AM
We ask that all pictures are eye, laptop and even smartphone friendly please.

When you post your image code you get an [IMG] box, followed by a URL code.  Could you please ensure, if your pictures are not re-sized by Flickr or another hosting company to be the equivalent or smaller of 500px, that you change the size manually.  It's very simple, all you need to do is edit after the [IMG], so.... [IMG width=500]  or [IMG height=500] followed by the rest of the URL and your image will be re-sized. Please resize the longest edge to no more than 500 pixels.

If you need to start from the very beginning of how to post a photograph, here's the guide:

Just a little reminder - not so much about picture sizes, but to make sure that everyone realises that if they delete or move their host picture (on flickr, photobucket or elsewhere) the link is broken and the picture will no longer display here. This can occasionally make reading older threads quite hard work, and these posts will be deleted from historic galleries.
