How long do you need to leave a item in a tumbler please? .
Finaly finished 3rd time lucky put send shank on was on final polish and it caught and mangled new one made now in tumbler woo hoo.

As long as you like really.
My absolute shortest tumble (if I'm in a real hurry) is about 20 minutes, but my preferred short polish is 2 hours. Most stuff goes in overnight, and sometimes longer.
