You need to be logged into google.
Open the link and add to 'my maps' followed by 'edit', which should let you add your own place marker (by member name if possible). Feel free to add a one line description (real name, one website only please - it's for fun not advertising) Then save. It's set to open collaboration, so anyone should be able to share it. There are only two on there at the moment and they're looking a bit lonely! ;D
It's all fairly experimental at this stage (and a lot of guesswork was involved), so let me know if you have any problems.

Hmmm..., not sure if I added myself correctly. Just kind of aimed the blue marker in the general direction of my house but it is not very accurate - should I have done it by post code? Any idea how I can alter it?
You can zoom right in on the map to see where to place your marker - much more accurate. Just go back to the page and choose "Edit" again, and then you can move it.

if you just enter a place (by post code or address, you can then save it to the map and just edit to show your own name (and remove the street view!)

Sorry about hogging the list. I repositioned myself a couple of times and it added a list entry every time. I'll try deleting myself and see what happens. I might just become an invisible member of this community.

I think someone had managed to edit the title by accident which stopped the link from working properly.
