OI you lotWAKE UP
Where's the S & T?
i have been experimenting since being back from my hols...
However my camera has died and this was the only pic i could get
what do you think?
would you recognise it as my work?

Bit of a slow start this week...
Love the green goddess Vika. Those are really pretty Anna, not sure if I would have guessed they were yours (difficult once you actually know). They are different from your usual beads but then again the overall style is quite you.
Here is a bead I am really pleased with, inspired by a painting of flowers I saw in a magazine.
And a ridiculously pink necklace I made up with a lampwork heart that I wasn't sure about but my daughters loved. Needless to say they like the necklace... although the 14 year old usually has good taste so hopefully some one will like it.
They are lovely, Becky!
My friend asked for a big Jupiter bead. My encased Terra went really pastel this time. And a couple of big Kronos beads (excuse the fact they're not cleaned!)
(http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o297/weemaryanne/Mylampwork904.jpg)(http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o297/weemaryanne/Mylampwork887.jpg)(http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o297/weemaryanne/Mylampwork900.jpg)
I finally got pictures.... here's what I made with my birthday present ....my new bead stamp.... cheers Jim ;) You are the best bud anyone could ask for ....

cheers
Les xx
oh and I made this one too.... front and back pics
(http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a230/lbrayford/pendant.jpg)
Nice work so far. Love the Jupiter bead - are you going to do the rest of the planets now.
Here is another of the flower garden style beads from me. Did a lovely purple and blue based one too but I bent the mandrel pulling it off and cracked the end!
Gorgeous beadies on here, Becky love the terra tiles, Mary really nice, especially the pale terra, Les - you sure your are not making biscuits, they look so edible, I made myself a stamp similar to the one you are using, used a bit of wire and bent it round, it works. Josephine - I am loving what you are doing with those flower beads, gorgeous, bet its sold already.
Couple of sets from me then, first ones are blue ink with SIS, second set were difficult to photo but they are incredibly pink, they are made with the CIM Blush glass, gorgeous colour - if you like pink, my photo doesen't do the pink colour justice.

thats the cutest thing I've seen for a while, he's gorgeous!
I love the tree goddesses Claire!
Lovely beads Kathy, I do admire your spiral ones.
I got a new press, a faceted barrel. So I made some Terra beads, and experimented with some boro.

some delicate water lily flowers

some gorgeous deep pink lentils
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/pinkheartnecklace2mini.gif)
and a piece of jewellery for a change using the superb rainbow terra glass
fandabby goddess beads Claire and i am SO envious of the seahorse bead!!!
I like the orangey boro ones Mary. Anna those are all really pretty. Miriam those are lovely beads, the long ones especially, I always struggle to get a shape I am pleased with.
Here is another of my marquis 'flower' beads and some lentil ones in the same sort of design that I have made up as pendants for a sale tonight.
I love your flower beads Josephine, I think they would look nice around my neck...in a decorative way, not a strangulation type way :-\ you know what i mean
Great beads carol, those colours are fab.
This is my first encased set, I did them in an odd way, but it seemed to work for me
(http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f280/delica-girl/yum.jpg)
they were very hard to photograph, so you might not be able to see them very well!
WOW
no way me first!!!
this is my first ever goddess
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/moonfocal1.gif)
this is my tutorial entry
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/swirlingseas1.gif)
and i LOVE this set, except there is a small crack in the focal where one of the cubic zirconias is...oh well i'll have to keep it
Dash it, I get to follow Ray with my first three goes at implosions! None are useable, the orange one has a big crack, the ends are ragged and the shapes are rough but I'm quite pleased with them and will be having another go.
And here's Colin the crab :D
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1614.jpg)
Here is my second hollow - WITH the barrel that keeps it together rather than my first that didn't and broke.
Please excuse the lack of cleaning I was too scared to clean it properly for fear of it breaking
(http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k261/stacyemma/Beads/00009.jpg)
it's ages since I had anything to post in here... this is something I started playing with today...
silver cinnamon glass... love it !!!
here's some more ........
Ran out of gas so thought I might as well turn my attention to sorting out photos. Here's some I made earlier as they say on the cookery programmes.

Oops - a little on the large side but you get the idea
(Edited your photos to be a little smaller)
Me to start then, just a quick post as I am in the middle of packing to move on Friday, at last.
Couple of handshaped focals using lots of silver.
Some nice beadies there to start the week. Here are my contributions
A little octopus, using a sort of opalino green I found in the mix pack I got when I started
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1615.jpg)
Some opal yellow with silver and kronos. Starting to get a bit of a reaction on these.
Another implosion that I should have left alone before I tried putting flowers on it.
And a simple bead with light ivory and copper green, that I think will be the first of many using that combination
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1618.jpg)
Hi guys,
Well i managed to drag myself to the torch and kept the olbas oil away, thought it might be flammable!!
here is what i have been playing with
Some fun little rainbow ice cubes
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/rainboecubes.gif)
Some more foil lined sea shore focals, including a dusk focal and a half etched focal
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/foilfocalsshell1.gif)
and last but by no means least, a vessel like bead, it has one hole (oh how very dare you) and i intend to create a bail and fix it in place in the top, leaving the bottom of the heart hole and headpin free.
I shall post the results next week.
Seems like ages since i made more than just one or two beads... here's what I did earlier....

here is another single hole pendant with a terra swirl and a pink cubic zirconia
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/pinkswirlheart1.gif)

Here you go - something to get everyone started. A pendant inspired by the 'slightly' damp weather we've been having for weeks now:
Nellie in her Wellies:

And some dryer organicy ones using BeadySam's (http://www.beadysamglass.com/) Sunset frit over ivory and silver:

Looking forward to seeing what you lot have made. ;D

Lovely TROPICAL beads Kathy, they're worthy of an entry in the challenge, so is that gorgeous frog by lavender creek!!!
here is what came out of the kiln this morning!
Some playful froggies
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/frogtrio1.gif)
and rainbow island starfish
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/rainbowstarfish1.gif)
I love all those beads, brilliant work!!! I don't even come near all of you, but this is what I was busy doing these past few weeks. A friend asked me if I could do a necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring in black and white only and no bubbles on the beads. So this is what I've done :

Couple of sets then

I had a go at making a marble on Friday after watching a u-tube video that was posted somewhere here on FH. It's about 25MM diameter. I didn't get the dichro to do what I wanted but I was pleased with the shape. Mostly I was pleased with not dropping it on the floor like I had done with my previous marble attempt. :-)

All gorgeous on here as ever, I swear the standard is getting better and better. Have to say Tan those lentils are bloo*y gorgeous, I love red, why don't we see more of your stuff. Steph love that particular colour combination as well, very wantable.
A few from me then,
First one called "Geisha", I don't know yet what I think about this one
(http://www.lesleymcfarland.com/Beadies9/IMG%5F4216%5Fedited%2D2.jpg)
Next a focal, there is a set to match as well and I am reluctant to sell them as I have become rather fond, so they might have to stay with me for a week or so.
Lastly details of a set I made which also has a matching focal (think I am getting boring now, matching sets an all)

Here are my efforts so far this week
A collection of pumpkins
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/pumpkins1mini.gif)
and some raku shells
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/rakushells08mini.gif)
I didn't make a huge amount on my course this week, most of the time was watching Kate. I've got a few beads that I made using the Spectrum but I haven't photographed them yet. I did make this set of effetre beads at the end of the last days bead making and then I made them up into this necklace on the last day where Kate taught her wirework techniques. ( I forced myself to go for a different colour combination, I usually put blue with green but this time I used it with pink and purple)
I'm keeping this one for me!
Here are some pendants i completed last night and a few other goodies

Ditto. Lovely beads
Would that I had beads worth showing yet - maybe one day.
Here's my first show and tell.
First a 10"x7" plate in bullseye with stringer stripes
(http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t4/dinah46/slatebluestripedplate.jpg)
and a pair of coasters that I'm really pleased with but I don't think the photo shows how much they sparkle
(http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t4/dinah46/Greencheckcoasters.jpg)
I'm loving checks at the moment :)
Love the fusings, Abbie. I think the earrings will look really cute :)
Here's a set from me

I am so very proud of my kids..... ;D
And so you should be - not to mention getting them in training for Flame Born Beads' production line ;)
I made these for the grey challenge last month but forgot about them :(
They are vetrofond pearl grey with DV2

Lovely work Abbie, Shirley & Heather
I got a load of frits earlier this week, so I've been experimenting a bit. These are my attempts at faux boro beads
The first three are iris gold on cobalt, black and rubino, encased
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1669.jpg)
And these are iris amber green, on black, cobalt and rubino, but with a layer of silver leaf as well. Unfortunately two have cracked so next time I'll have to put them straight in the kiln. Promising though. :)
Wow, what gorgeous beads are here already!
Angelique I love your chintzy roses!
Cute ladybird. That's so clever Carol.
Isabelle, those are amazing! :o I really like them! In fact, I've never seen a bead you've made that I haven't coveted. ;D
Becky the colours of your top two beads are amazing. Really rustic....... and so textural you just want to reach through the monitor and give them a feel. :D
Here are a few I've made this week. I've been on my hols from work for a couple of weeks, so I've had a good old play. ;D

Gorgeous beads everyone, my camera batteries died so I haven't taken any photos of new beads, but I made this lot last week with a view to making them into a necklace. Haven't decided yet quite how it will look so meanwhile they are all strung on a bit of leather. I just need more hours in the day and I will be able to do everything I want to. ;D

Still having a bit of a grey love affair with this one - love the red that came out
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1683.jpg)
This is what happens with Vetro odd lots - avocado and dark ivory with a few bits of random silver leaf
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1692.jpg)
And, believe it or not, Sam's strawberry caramel frit came out like this on light ivory. Don't know if it's a reaction with the glass, the swirling or being a bit propane heavy, but I love the lilac tones :)
Here are some from me ;D

Lovely beadies everyone.
I have made a "Faux Geode" ha ha, as I don't have a grinder and I like them so much I have made a bead which I think looks a bit like one.
Sideview as well.

Thought I'd get this started with some new jewellery
(http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r225/josephinewadman/P9101500.jpg)
This bracelet was a commission.

New style earrings where I have made the ear wire myself.
Some new style hearts on silver necklet wires with matching earrings.
Lovely work Josephine.
I've been playing with greens (and a bit of blue) and my big squisher.

Gorgeous work Jeanette and Josephine! STUNNING!
My first clothed goddess bead that survived! hurrah!
This one is a gothic one, in a corset and skirt with slightly purple hair :-)

Hi, I know it's cheating to start the show and tell an hour or so early but I thought it would be thursday when most people look lol.
I haven't posted here in ages as I lent my digital camera to a family member who kindly returned it broken grrrrrrr, I've borrowed my neighbours but it's quite a fancy (ie complicated one) so pics are RUBBISH... anyway - I've been making vessels (LOVE making them - so addictive)
Nice vessels. Love the top one with the two colours and the black scrolls.
Wow, Sooz, a hollow. I'm way too chicken to try yet! :D
Here are a couple more tube focals with twisties that I made

Here's a tiara that I made for a friend from work. She asked me knowing I had never made one before and trusted me to produce something that she liked with very little guidance. :o. Both her and her mum loved it I'm very glad to say!!
I actually made it back in July but as she didn't get married until yesterday, I've had to keep it under wraps.

i have been frit testing my new frits from Sam and they are delicious!!!
Hope you like these dinky spacers?
Absolutely stunning work everyone!
I'm posting this on Sunday night in the hope that you've all gone to bed and won't actually see it, and then the new S&T will start in the morning and my bead will get glossed over. :D
This was an experiment, and there's loads wrong with it.... too thick walls, grubby glass, bead release still inside the blue bead, a shocking shape and nasty holes.... but I'm so happy I managed to make this bead inside a bead that I'm almost skipping! So I'm sorry to lower the standard of the Board, but just indulge me if you would. Haha.. :D
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s244/BumpyBeads/FHF/hollow2.jpg)
Ok, as I found out how to do this, I´ll start another S&T as well. This vessel was made to the last month´s cahallenge, put the photo was taken just yesterday. Black Effetre and Double Helix, Kronos2 I think. The vessel and a few other beads made at the saame time are my very first experimenting with DH.
Great work - I love those long twistie beads & the vessel is perfect!

I've been playing with a colour combo that Corina mentions in PTF, ivory and transparent grey. I'm working through different bead shapes starting with these two.

Well, here we go, I thought posting in 'my first, my last' was a bit silly after only three weeks at the torch, so I'll wait a while before heading there...but here.....my first ever beads, from the session with Mike at Tillerman's - the three at the bottom left were the very first - the nicest dotty bead (not shown) is actually on a necklace already, wearing my wonky beads with pride :)
Here are my first silver cores. They aren't finished yet (I need to work out how to polish inside properly and clean them up) but I am hoping to have some ready soon.
I like the silver and grey, very nice and the hot hot hot red beads are also very cool.
Good beads Richard and I see you are very busy with the jewellery
Josephine - well done, they do look very pastel and delicate and unlike others I have seen. You are almost there ;D
Couple from me - I messed up the flowers on the first one but liked the colour combo very much so might have another try, flowers are so unforgiving, if you mess it up whole bead is ruined.
The next one is just one of my standard type focals.
Oh and I have bought a doorknob kit so maybe a bit later or tomorrow I will show you the first one. ;D
Great beads Marijane and Angelique, fab colour ;D wow Richard, you have deffinatly been busy, love the green swirls, and your focal LesleyMac :)
Cute silver cores Josephine, took me a while before I realised you put the core on afterwards :-[, I though you melted the glass onto the silver, spent ages wondered how many times you had to try getting the right amount of glass onto the silver without it going over the edge of the lip.... :-\
Haven't had much time to play, but have really got into the heavy encasing to make waves and distorting the inner core.

(these are for this month's brown challenge, excuse the duplicate posting)
I have a couple to show for a change .... they're not spectacular :-\ but I feel like I am finding my lampwork feet again after taking a bit of a blow recently....I need to get back into the swing of things I think....

Gorgeous stuff ladies
Some from me then
These two beads are ready for electroforming, the next step (nerve racking) is to apply the electro conductive paint which costs a fortune by the way.
They look quite boring at the moment but I will show you the results and then see what you think, of course it might not work at all, we shall see.
This is the one door knob I have made, its not great and I shant be using it, but technically its fine, I just hate the design, trust me to try flowers, so easy to mess up. Anyway I would recommend the make a doorknob kit to anyone and its fairly easy to do, I think.
I am into bicones at the moment, so here are a couple I have done this week, the second one has dots of fine silver around the middle which I am rather proud of.

Lastly a small focal
(http://www.lesleymcfarland.com/Beadies18/Ivory%20focal.jpg)
I made these beads on Monday (day away from the office), I don't normally post on here but here goes anyway, I have put these on a couple of other beading forums my apologies if you have already seen these.
These are made from Avocado, roof tile red, Ivory, some sort of trans green and fine Silver,
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z129/HairyBeader/Focalflower.jpg)
These focal beads are a mixture of glass and metals, Ask, Effetre and DH, metals are silver foil and copper, basically trying my hand at a few new things
Thanks for looking
Stuart
Okay....be kind...the results of my play session today :) The frog is only included as a laugh, I'm afraid it's crippled, and will probably have to be euthanised in the kiln...........

I am not sure what happened, I thought I had replied to this but it seems to be lost!
Eceryone has done a fantastic job, I am really impressed. I have done a few rounds now and I'm really pleased with them and I have done some dots and some frit, but how on earth do you encase? I tried and moved the whole bead!!! And how do you do swirls?
I made my first bead in my own workshop/studio on Thursday and did everything in a rush!!!
I have signed up for photo bucket so I hope this is the right link!
The orange bead looks a bit like a squashed rose or spiral but I am wearing it with pride!!!
I had a good play yesterday. Here are the results.

The first two sets use some of Sam's lovely frits over silver. The green focal is uses a twisty that I made. I love the depth of it. :)
Lovely work from everyone.. yet again !!!
I've made these today....
Got a couple of similar focals in the pot... photos to follow :)
Thanks xx
Great work from everyone. That blue set is stunning Shirley. All those sets are pretty Caroline. Lovely colours in those beads Les, can't wait to see the focals.

These are going on a new website promoting the work of artists from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. If any of you west country bead/jewellery makers are interested let me know and I will send you the details.
Gorgeous beads Les - I really like those!
Fabulous hearts Jospehine. ;D
I haven't posted anything here for a while, but I have new presses and new glass, and I just had a week off work, so forgive the hog!

Aren't we all productive at the moment... there are some gorgeous beads in here today !!!!
Here are some 3/32 beads, which are unusual for me as i work on 1/16 mandrels, anywho
(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o262/beads-on-toast/chunkyleatherbeads1.jpg)
and here is the bracelet i made with the beads, a simply strand of leather which has been knotted together, no findings, just the leather, it is really soft and i just dont want to take it off!
I'm not sure if the s&ts are just for beads so I hope its ok to put my recent work in here.
Haven't been up to much recently but did get this out today, I've been working on a couple of projects which are very time consuming so haven't been able to do much else. She/he/it really needs some antenae things!
I'm really loving all the work that has been put up already. I'm so jealous of your holow beads Becky and Josephines hearts are simply lush!!!
This is a terrible photo colourwise.... but the light's not great this morning, just yet... I really like this colour combo..... I think I shall make a set ???
Pity the pretty colours in the Psyche don't show too well though... :(
Thanks xx
Thanks Amber... I really love these colours... I have more in the pot.... they remind me almost of 1960's 70's Poole pottery glazes.... glad I found this combo ;)
Oooh...oohhh... look what I found.. ;D ... like this... it could almost be a bead !!
I haven't posted anything for a while - but I've been making loads! So here's a couple of my latest;
The moon bead needs a bit of work, but I'm pretty chuffed with it all the same!
I love this one...when you get to that point where you realise that it ain't never gonna be round, you just squish it a bit and call it a nugget! ;D ;)
Blimey.. you guys rock!!!! fab beadies!! :D

Thanks... :)
Here is my latest effort.
Lovely beads here already. Les the way the colours merge and change along that bead is fab. Psyche looks lovely, I don't have any yet, may have to do something about that.
Lovely Psyche beads Sarah and Les! I like it too!
Beautiful dots Josephine, such fresh colours!

Off to a great start as usual.
I like that bottom set Jeanette. Good to see you back Steph. Lovely Dora.
I did some organics for the first time in ages.
Also a set in my flower style, more of these to come I think.
Here's my latest cylinder - they're getting better since I read the tip about making a bead at each end then filling in the middle. Still plenty of ppp needed, but I'm chuffed with this one! :)
Oh and my avatar was the result of trying to make a fugly with the nastiest colours I could find - but actually, I think he's quite cute!
Crikey no S&T, is everybody hibernating?
I have been playing with silver, the first little set are the Salmon type beads invented by Andrea Guarino.
Rubbish photo, silver is so difficult :(
(http://www.lesleymcfarland.com/Beadies21/Beadset.jpg)

Thats all from me, lets see yours then ;D
I've been having fun playing with focals.

Well here are mine, I am trying a different method with the uploading so they may be too big. I am trying to save myself time. Will try one and if that works will post the others.
Marvellous it works.
Here are the others then, the first one here is my favourite. But I am thinking of making a set like the last one, your opinions please, is it worth making a set - it would be very bright?

Seriously gorgeous beads! and oooh that new yummy vetrofond! (Shame I cant buy any coz Parcelfarce have an inability to get my parcels to me, so I've given up before both me and Q explode! LOL!). Those browns and greens are doing it for me!
Well here's my show and tell - and I am going to be somewhat hoggy here! apologies in advance....

Ooops that was somewhat hoggy! my apologies! my excuse is that I havent posted in show and tell for weeks and weeks!
I had a whole day at my torch yesterday and loved every second, but when I went to take my beads out of the vermiculite I saw that they really are pony.
Does everyone go through a phase where their stuff looks really gauche and rubbish next to some of the show and tells here? I know a lot of people have been doing this for ages and I just need to practice and I only get 1 day a week to get going so maybe some patience is in order! I want to be an expert NOW!!
Right now that foot stamping sesh is over, here are some of what I made yesterday.
Sorry about the size I give up on Photobucket(!) these are coming up enormous! I tried resizing them but it hasn't made any difference.

Everyone has been busy. I especially like Lesley's beads, Maryse's frit set and Dora's. Oh and Anna's floral bead. And Manda, those long beads are fab, I'm never satisfied with the shape I get when I try that.
Here is a necklace I've just made. I'm going to save this for the exhibition I told you about.

Beautiful set Dora
Annelyse, Manda is right those are gorgeous.
Some more from me then, still on the quest for the perfect bead shape :)

This last one is called "oily water" because its just like the rainbow effect colours you get on oil on water, pity you can't see better from the photo, its gold fumed.

Wow! Stunning work everyone. Incredible bead Becky :o
Some pendants from me with my Sarah inspired beads :)
Love those beads Julie :) and your twistie bead Colette, love twisties ;D
This is my first goddess bead, no arms or legs and not as voluptuous as Lesley's, she started out as a heart which went badly wrong, I didn't want to waste the glass on the mandrel so thought I'd have a go....totally inspired by Lesleymac's, nowhere near the same league, but I like her.
Unfortunately, I can't show you my very first beads.....as they were annealed into oblivion!! I won't repeat the story....but have posted the sorry details in the general discussion section :(
Anyway, here are my first surviving beads which I made yesterday....
(Sorry if that photo came out really large - how do you adjust the size?)
My first bead is the blue one on the left, round to the final one at the other end....and they only took me about 3 hours!!
Have made more today, so can't wait to see them in the morning.
Lyn
I finally got back on my torch :)
And I decided to make some sets after playing with focals for so long.

I've been doing a little stringer practice, and am quite pleased with this. I do need to clean it a bit more, though.

This Christmas will be my first anniversary of lampworking. Needless to say, most people are getting glassy gifts... ;D This is what I've been working on this weekend. Another two winestoppers, some bookmarks and a couple of bracelets yet to be done...

You've been busy, Billie. Like the one at the bottom with the cute leafy beadcaps. :)
Here's a few from me - Totally Autumnal

Hi,
I am surprised that I am the first to show my glassy goodies this week.
This is a selection, and most are all ready spoken for, only one has made it onto my website.

I particularly like those faux boro Collette - really lovely!
Just for a change I've been playing with odd lots & silver ::) I won't be boring you with many more of these till Quinton & Hazel start selling it 'though as I'm almost out of my taster pack :'(

Oh wow, lovely lovely beadies everyone, I have been playing with my Karen Leonardo Petal Puller tools, I have to say this is great fun and is brilliant for teaching heat control. Anyway I only had an hour last night when I came home from work but I made three, not too brilliant ones, however I can't wait to have another go as I have hundreds of ideas. These are in the order I made them and I think improve with practice. Long way to go I know and I guess I should wait till I am perfect but I think its fun to see the first ones and then hopefully as they get better. ;D

The bottom tree is a wopping 43mm across - shame theres a blooming small crack in it! (gonna ebay it anyway should anyone want a cheap large tree bead complete with crack at a stupidly low price!).
Ooooh dora, those are gorgeous ;D
don't laugh....glass fried eggs ;D

Shirley - gorgeous beads. The bottom is my favourite.
Emma, I love the shades in those lentils.
My recent stint at the torch produced these. Going to brave the temperature in the cellar again tomorrow... :-\
Etched to reflect the frost outside!

Where is everyone? I get to start the thread again :D
Ok, at the risk of you all getting fed up with me, I have some more beadies. All I can promise is that there isn't a single scrolled tube among them - couldn't get it to photograph in the fading light! :D
I had to do another tree bead. I suspect it won't be the last either. The postie came halfway through this with a signed for parcel, so he had to come into my studio (garage) while I held the bead in the flame and signed ;D
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/shirleygiles/DSCN1820.jpg)
Then I got to playing with the old iris gold. Love that stuff.

Big apologies for the bead release but these haven't been in the kiln yet, so anything could happen!
Dora, those beads are stunning!!
Can you guess what i got for crimbo?

My last beads to show in 2007, Happy New Year to everyone :)
A cone bead, technically the best I have done so far, it is 56mm long, sorry for the poor photo, really hard to get a decent picture of this one.
This bead is made with my new tool from Marie-Louisa, this is the unflippable tool where the holes are not centered so it doesen't flip over when you are wearing it, the bead is about 35mm diameter.
Lastly I have made a tree bead, this one is a present for a friend. Its about 45mm x 40mm and took ages to make. About an hour I reckon, mostly its getting the initial lump of glass on that takes so long.
Thats all mine, lets see yours.
