No pics yet, just wanted to tell you ;D
Fabola! Looking forward to seeing them ;D
I can't stop fondling them, I feel like a dirty marble perv :D
Awwww.....I wanted piccies!! ;D ;D ;D
Briliant!
I've lost all mine..... :P
I lost one in my lap Sal, then onto the rug, then across the tiles and I STILL finished it, imagine doing that with the soft stuff!!
If you have burn marks you can often steel wool them off afterwards... I've done that with burnt lino marks. Less good for rug burns though.
Tan, are you telling porkies again? I need to see proof hun.... :P
Not today but soon...........
Ooooooooh! :)

Ohhhh long time since I knew rug burns LOL
oooooooh i want one of Tan's marbles (rug burns or no) then at least when people start asking where she lost them i can say i have one for safe keeping ;) ;D
I need to see them too.
No way!
Don't believe you .... ;)
Woooo hoooo... where are the pics !!!!!!!!!!
pics pics pics .... ;D ;D
Being thick now, how do you make a marble? I'm impressed though, with or without pics, pref with :)
Yup, I'm intrigued too, we need pictures!
BTW Brasso also takes off some of those annoying 'floor debris and melted carpet/floor varnish' stains too, but does take a while to polish them off with it!
Tan, you are a tease ;) show us some piccies, pretty please ;D
Jane, here's a marble demo from Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va4z6Bk6Qj4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va4z6Bk6Qj4) :)

Thanks Emma, can't see me making one of those on a HH in a million years : )
Ok, I feel as if I should be posting in the boro thread but am waaaayyy not good enough yet so shall have a little hoggy on my ownsome. I had clear, just under half an inch of what I think was crayon yellow and some black and purple frit and some butterscotch frit in the bottom of a vase.......don't ask.
So now, you have to excuse the fact that there are really terrible air bubbles that look like cracks and the fact that the colours are a bit naff but do feel free to swoon at their wonderful roundess ;D
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s276/dybyk/DSCF1001-15.jpg)(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s276/dybyk/DSCF1002-16.jpg)
Then I had a play at a dragon with some of that butterscotch?
Then an implosion flower but with a proper stemmy thing going down the back, unfortunately its not very clear in the pictures
The back
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s276/dybyk/DSCF1004-10.jpg)
The implosiony bit
(http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s276/dybyk/DSCF1005-10.jpg)
So this is where I step back and the offers from publishers come flooding in because they are just astounded at my natural boro ability and see the awful bubbles as an absolute joy and not a licence to explode, and wish to include me in their art books, Northstar will no doubt contact me to be their worldwide rep and all the companies will shower me with free boro. Of which I shall bestow kilos upon my fellow boro buds on here.
Kirstie will want me to demonstrate marbles on her homemade house thing and I guess BBC news will need me to make time for an interview................
Loving dem marbles! Specially de one on de right!
;D
(sorry, got a cold!)
S'ok snotty one :-*
oooooooh i am swooning Tan, i love all of those marbles but especially the left most one! i even like the air bubbles ;)
Back to being a total noob again :D
Okay, I believe you now ;D
Fantastic roundness you got there, I love that blue swirly marble. And I do definitely bow to you cos all my boro bits are still sitting waiting for me to pay them some attention and I wouldn't even know where to start with a marble or a dragon so you are well worthy of BBC interviews and book deals ;D
erm. TAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how good are you? I'm fighting Julie for the swirly one (though I love the one on the other end too). Love the dragon - he's definitely the one swimming in the golden pool from Voyage of the Dawn Treader...
swoonage :D
I love the bumble bee style one :) so clever!!
Well you guys have just made me feel a whooole lot better about them :D
Boro is so your thing you clever lass!
Those marbles are a bit flipping round, aren't they? :D :D I love the orange one best of all (what colour is that, by the way because it has come out fab), plus I can definitely see a proper implosion stem going on there and the dragon is just adorable and cute and if he/she is off mandrel I am even more dead impressed!!
Right Em, that orange one.......I think its butterscotch but ..........I had a burned through plastic baggie in my vase along with my rods of clear and whenI took them out to clean them there were these grains in the bottom along with the baggie that had butterscotch written on it.
I have no idea where it came from, I didn't even know it was there and it must have been there a good five years, I guessed it was boro purely because its in with the clear boro rods.......luckily it hasn't blown up so I must have guessed right :D
They are rather good, I'd say!!! Much, much rounder than my first efforts were! Welcome over to The Darkside, there'll be no going back from here ;D ;) ;) ;)
Swoon! Lovely round boroness, and loooove the dragon! Clever cat! :D
Marbles.... Round .... Bubbles..... Cracquelure effect..... all goood, would like to suck the orange one for a bit ;D
Steady now..........it is the dark side after all ;)
those Marbles are ace and i love that dragon
Ohh they are fab. I like the bubbles the distressed look is funky.
I too have my eye on the black/blue/purple swirly one looks like a tornado.
Um, I think you might be a natural, Tan...I love the swirly black marble best and the handsome dragon :)
Thank goodness they turned up, now I know where to come, I've been looking for my marbles everywhere! ;D :D
Fantastic work Tan xx
;D ;D ;D
Wow, Tan! Those are very impressive. And the dragon is so good!
multitalented Tan in action! wow!
Way to go Tan.... those are lovely ;D
Wot everybody else said Tan - brilliant boro! ;D
Cool Marbles and i like the Dragon ;)
Great stuff Tan, love the dragon and the orangey one. :)
Thankyou lovely people ;D
I love the orangy one the best and the dragon is not arf bad.
Oooo, well done you, they are fabby ;D ;D
Thankyou girly girls, I keep picking htem up and click clacking them in my hand.......love that sound ;D
Oooo takes me back :D Does anybody remember that 'clackers' phase? Two large marbles on the ends of a bit of string and you had to move them up and down so they would hit each other - or in my case my hand and if you had glass versions they hurt!! :D :D Health and Safety would have a nightmare over them now!!
wow how did i miss this thread?!! tan they fandabbydosy ;D ;D
Thankyou Helen. ;D
June, I remember and had them, two pairs one for each hand so I could drive people doubly mad :D
Or smack yourself round the head! They were pretty dangerous!! ;D
Just catching up, Tan - you're doing great with this boro stuff! Those babies are ROUND (and awesomely fab)! and of course, I love the dragon.
Can't wait to see more!
Thankyou flower, I have made more marbles but I have now bypassed the round stage and graduated to the round with a nipple and covered in floor fluff stage ;D
You clever bugger, you !
x
I found a pair of those clackers in a drawer once used by the kids and still with lots of their muck in it. I think I can just about manage three clacks.
