Title: CALLING ALL SUPPLIERS *PLEASE READ*
Post by: ♥♥Tan♥♥ on April 05, 2010, 05:26:13 PM
I have put it to the mods in the back office that we are in need of a sticky thread of ALL of the suppliers who visit the forum. Many of the overseas suppliers stock goodies that we just can't get over here.

So,what do we need from you.

Name
Website
Location

A short description of what you carry ie, tools, frit, enamels, glass............

This will be a LOCKED sticky thread, always at the top so members know where to come and can scroll quickly through to pinpoint what they need.

Don't be shy, Don't think this will not apply to you, even if you only use this forum a little bit it does not matter.

If any of you know of a good overseas supplier please post their details here for all of us.

I shall compile the list in the locked thread as we go using cut and paste so make sure EVERYTHING you want us to know is in what you post

Hi!

DragonBright is a new venture, stocking and making tools and accessories for craftspeople.  Our line-up is limited at present, and we're just getting the various infrastructure together, but we will be carrying extraction systems and some basic hand-tools to start with, with LED work lighting and bead displays in the pipeline.  We're a partnership of two engineers (Alison and Nigel), and we have loads of ideas, but we'd love to hear from actual craftspeople - if there's something that would solve a problem you have, or you've ever thought, "I wish I had a tool that did...", we may be able to help!

You can visit our website at http://www.dragonbright.co.uk - our webshop will be there as well shortly.

I'd better add a link here since, by a rather circuitous route, I've become a mandrel supplier (see my mandrel research post on this board for more info.)

I'm listing in my Etsy shop a range of sizes of mandrels made from 310 grade stainless steel - better suited to high temperature applications than other commonly available grades - https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ajdalampwork?section_id=7729921 - At present I have 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mm and I will be adding 5 mm in the next day or two. I am still trying to source 2 and 4 mm at reasonable prices and will add those if/when I can.

I am currently working on what I hope will be some slightly superior tools in brass and graphite - if I get as far as marketing them, I'll list them there as well and will post an update here.

Alan Davies

I now have the 5 mm size listed - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/169697602/ - priced per 4 mandrels, various length options.
