Title: Advice on converting my hot head to a bulk supply please
Post by: ★★Terri★★ on December 07, 2009, 04:27:27 PM
I have been using my hot head torch for a couple of months now and......not surprisingly.......am ready to move to a bulk supply.

I have been doing some investigations....and have got a price from Tuffnells for the kit.  But having taken a look around various on line welding/gas suppliers I am beginning to think that Tuffnells are charging an awful lot for the kit.

Has anyone made up their own - ie bought pipe,  connectors, regulator and flashback arrestor and fixed it all together themselves.  It looks to me as if it could be done for about £30 or £40 (less than half the price of Tuffnells).

Having read other threads around the subject I see the thread on the hothead is the opposite to UK gas equipment thread - can you get a connecter here in the UK?

I would welcome any advice and recommendations on suppliers (but please not recommendations to buy from Tuffnells - no offense intended).
