Title: Oxycon problem
Post by: amareargentum on April 28, 2009, 07:36:23 PM
I'm hoping that someone with more experience can tell me if I have a problem here.

I have an Oxycon that I bought a few months ago from Q.So far I have only had a couple of chances to spend a long time beading (5 hours or more). On both occasions, right at the end of the session my flame has started flaring - like there is momentarily less oxygen. Is this a problem with the oxycon or is it just getting tired. I work in a shed which has good ventilation and my oxycon isn't under the bench when I am using it, so I don't think I have a problem with not enough air getting to it.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Amanda

Its possible its overheating, although I'm no expert.
You could try cleaning the filters.
Have you emailed Q?

No, not yet. I wasn't sure if this was normal or a problem. I will drop him a line.
Thanks for your help
