Has anyone had any success with this? Can you share how please?
I had a play the other day, did plain and encased, put them through the kiln at 500°C for upwards of 4 hours, got bird poo colours, put it through again at 520°C, still bird poo, came here and had a search, found Martin's first post which said 1000°F, found a converter, 1000°F is 537°C, reset the kiln to 540°C and cooked them for another 4 hours and i've got dark reddy brown stripey bird poo.

But, I've also got flat bits on all the beads where they were sat in the kiln and have managed to go soft??? Any ideas anyone?
I have, but just by luck I think. I've made nugget shapes and encased doughnuts. They've been the greeny colour when I've put them into the kiln, and have come out beautiful blues with hints of reds and purples. I've used the same schedule as I have for all my other beads. I batch anneal to 520 and hold for an hour.
