Hi , can anyone tell me how you make those sugary looking beads that people seem to be doing at the mo, I really like the look of these and fancy having a go?

which one is smaller? 0 or 00?
00 is very fine - like powder almost.
You have to be careful when you have applied it to waft it in and out of the flame high up and quite gently as it can 'catch' like sugar and will discolour.

I love the sugared beads too.
They look so good and textural.
So I've just ordered some frit from beadysam.
I bought the one she had listed for sugaring beads with. An 80grm pot of it, I think that might be enough to practise with.
I bought some other stuff as well. Just couldn't help myself!

Some of mine were too Sandy - the ones that aren't, I think I was wafting in and out of the flame better - it does seem to 'catch' so think of it like cooking sugar!

This is sooooooooo weird ... I ordered some of this and it came earlier in the week (thanks for speedy service Sam!) and I hadn't even read this thread at the time - what a coincidence! Looks like I got my order in just right ... she'll be sold out soon!
I don't have time to do any bead making today (I should be hammer finishing a necklace right now instead of being in here!) I have been busy experimenting with the light iris gold instead - I didn't know what I was missing!
