HI well I have just had a go at using silvered ivory for the first time, it is soo great. I love it. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Now you have to try putting triton on top of silvered ivory - cool :D
what is triton then? I bought some beads with that on the other week, really like it? is it expensive?
It's that posh glass from Double Helix, or Northstar... or whoever makes it :)
Loaded with silver and does magic if you are born feet first and the moon is in the right phase :P

Triton is DH and I love it cos it actually works! ;D
Not fair. I want some triton (in a horrid whingey voice) and I can't find any.....
It might take my mind off the stinking cold that OH has given me as a welcome home pressie, and the fact that I'm so freezing I've had to cave in and put the central heating on.
George, if its any consolation, we've put the heating on too - and we've not even been away!! Poor you, hope the cold goes soon.
I kind of like Triton but some of the odds they produced this time were also fab! Particularly the TN series which led to Terranova2. And they look great with silvered ivory as well.
Where's the best place to get silver leaf... Beady Sam is out :(
Tuffnells ??

Moretti and More have Triton and they sell it by the rod.

Re Silver Foil
You can buy this and fine silver wire etc., (if Martin sells out) from www.cooksongold.com or Vitrum Signum (Diatherm).

I used silvered ivory for the first time at home today and was amazed at just how beautiful it was. I did'nt get such a great reaction from it when i tried it in the lampwork class - my cat did try and lick the silver foil when i cut it into strips so maybe that is the magic ingredient?
That's it now - once you start, you can't stop! ;D
Kaz
Fabulous isn't it Vicky? ;D
How's your back by the way?
Ah, cat lick... the secret is out!

Yep, cats produce something magical in their secretions - did you know that?
Take cat snot...........if they had made the Titanic with cat snot it would NEVER have broken up. Anyone else tried to get cat snot off of anything - it won't budge. Strongest material know to man.
:P :-\
Fabby!!! It is a great one - looks great with copper too!!!
BTW - if you pull it into a thin stringer it can be a bit brittle!!
Have fun!
Cat snot stringer ???
; ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
