Hi

How do you make flower shaped beads? What do you use to make the petal shapes, any fancy tools needed?

BeadySam's pushy-proddy-pokey things. Awesome! Useful for loads of things and I've seen them used for petals - just wish I could manage flower beads, for some reason I can't do them to save my life!

Make a lollipop at the end of a rod, flatten and pull to required shape with tweezers. Store in the kiln till you are ready to assemble into a flower head. Make more petals than you actually want in case of breaking or dropping when adding to a new rod which forms the stem.

Good for you. It's great to give into temptation once in a while. Just don't make a habit of it. I've tried to make a pansy flower but the petals always come out different sizes. Ugh.
