Saw this workbench on the Ikea website. It has a stainless steel top already on it which would be great for us beadmakers!

Well there you go it must be a sign.
Great minds think alike and that.

I was actually looking for some sort of sideboard / unit for the kitchen to put all our clutter in but as usual got a bit sidetracked!

I have these kitchen units from Ikea (even cheaper). I paid  bit extra and had the higher splash backs which make sure no bits of hot glass fly off onto the hosing where it attaches to the copper piping coming into the garage. i'm really pleased with them.
The lower height of these stools is perfect to go with them.

I have on of the VIKA tops from the Ikea tops and legs system I love it as it's at desk height so I don't need to bother with the tall stool thing - my little legs would struggle to climb onto a stool...!

at the mo i just use ikea vika tables with the normal cheap top - then placed one of their large metal pin boards (magnet board) on top of it and behind it. We worked out it was the cheapest option. Though i do feel the vika tables are just a touch to low and would like my desk higher (as i look down on the torch and end up with neck probs). Either the workbench or the kitchen unit may be better,

Screwfix direct have some good work benches, even one with a wall unit for £45, which might be worth having a look at.
