Title: Studio insurance (again)!
Post by: Lotti on June 14, 2016, 08:51:13 AM
Sorry to raise this subject AGAIN, but I am having problems with the (previously) lovely NFU who are now saying that because my workshop is in an annex attached to our house (not connected by a door though) and my turnover is (just) over their 10K limit that the WHOLE property will have to have a commercial insurance.  They are having kittens about the kiln and the propane (we are not on mains and our hob in the kitchen is fed by a butane tank outside the house - used to be in a cupboard under the hob! which is permanently attached whereas my propane tank is outside and on a quick release connector so not constantly connected!).  I think this is nuts and it is worrying me alot.  I have been to see a local broker but they just looked at me!  Has anyone else had problems recently with them and anyone got any new advice on this please.
