Does anyone know how to keep brass shiny in the kiln? Mine always comes out dull and with lots of bubbles? X

I thimk you probably have to treat it as if it was copper and clean in pickle solution. I'll stand corrected if anyone knows any better.

Aren't the bubbles actually the (rather nasty) gas that's the result of a chemical reaction which happens when you heat brass? In which case they're not really avoidable in a process which is hot enough to melt glass. Having said that, it's fun to make trapped bubbles out of brass on purpose.
