The workmen are currently putting up my new studio in the garden as I type so I'll soon be able to take all my glass stuff from the dining room and lounge. The kids are coming home at Christmas so they'll help with moving the heavy stuff including the SC2 kiln. I've only been waiting since June for the installation date ::) ::) ::) I'll put up pictures when it's finished. I'm having 4 double electric points installed so there'll be plenty of sockets and I think I'm going to buy a unit from Ikea for glass rod storage. I'll finally be able to sort them out into COE's and silver glass so no more mistakes grabbing the wrong rod.
Brilliant news Pat. Does this mean you are going to be even more productive? :)
Good news Pat.
I am very envious :)
Ooh what great news. Lucky you.
Those storage units from Ikea and the perfect size for storing glass rods. I have two of them myself.
Cant wait to see pictures of the finished studio ;D
Great stuff what a fab christmas pressie !
Great news, Pat.
Look forward to seeing photos.
I think you'll be spending many an hour out there once it's finished!
Fantastic, so pleased for you! Looking forward to seeing pics of the finished setup.
Wonderful news - somewhere top hide over Christmas whilst they do the washing up?
Which Ikea storage unit?
Exciting times, Pat.
I will have to take a drive down to investigate :P

Which Ikea storage unit?
I'm thinking of the Nornas bookcase on page 241 or possibly some of the Kallax shelving units on page 243.
Curry order at the ready for Christmas Pat ? ;D ;D ;D ;D
Congratulations Pat. Enjoy your new studio
That's brilliant! I shall put aside pangs of jealousy to wish you well in it, and the blessings of the local kiln fairies! ;D
Am sure it will be worth the wait, very exciting look forward to seeing photos.
How exciting Pat, not jealous at all ;)
Hope it all goes smoothly and look forward to even more beautiful things being shown on here x
Great news Pat -I hope you can make it nice and warm in there so you can play all winter :)
Here it is, (http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1426/5604171/24562402/410542581.jpg) Now all I've got to do is move everything glassy, wire etc into it. ::) ::) ::) It has 8 internal electrical sockets and two external ones plus it comes with an oil filled radiator and track lighting inside. It's an ultimate treat to myself but should also improve the value of the house if I decide to sell and move nearer to my daughter as the years advance. The kids are all coming home for Christmas so they will help with moving "stuff". I took the photo from an upstairs window so the pergola is nowhere near the studio. It's just the angle of the shot that's deceiving.
Looks brilliant Pat!
Looks superb Pat.
Thats fabulous Pat! Look forward to seeing it when you've "moved in" ;D
Pat it is awesome - very stylish indeed !
That's brilliant Pat, you've achieved so much in the last year, you're a real inspiration! Hope the move of all the kit goes well. I'm really glad you're getting some help :)
It looks fabulous Pat. Can I ask where you got it from? I'm trying to convince DH I NEED just that
Geraldine, it's from The Garden Office. Have a look at their web site.
Fantastic Pat - I'm sure you'll have many happy hours of glass melting in that palace!
That's very exciting Pat, I'm thrilled for you x
Wow! I love the big expanse of glass on the front.
I want one! ;D
Wow, that looks fab. Can see you spending many a happy hour in there. Look forward to more photos when you've moved in.
