Title: Reichenbach gold violet
Post by: Hartofglass on November 15, 2014, 10:16:09 AM
Has anyone used Reichenbach Gold Violet?  Is it good to work with?  Does it behave like Rubino Oro?  I'm very new to using these sorts of glass and would appreciate your experience. Thanks!

It's a nice pinky purple transparent - not fussy to work with like Rubino, and can take the heat.  However, not as nice a pink as Rubino, sadly.

Thanks for your advice. As I'm new I'm a bit scared of Rubino Oro though I have got some rods so I must persevere!

Now I disagree! :P  It is a beautiful pink, and goes wonderfully with teal and ink blue. Not as "Barbie" as rubino! One of my favourite colours and it plays nicely  ;D

It seems to vary from batch to batch, some of the rods I have had from Tuffnells in the past have been a really good dark pink, but the last ones are more dull.
