I have spent ages trying to find this can anyone help or point me in right direction
As simple as possible as I am new to kiln and need simple instructions
Thanks ;D
Place cracked bead onto thinfire paper in the kiln. Change your bead annealing program from a high of 520 deg C to 785 deg c and keep the rest of the program the same. Don't forget to change back the temperature when kiln has finished.
Julie Fountain has a brilliant tutorial on how to do this https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/152319791/bubbles-urchins-and-carousels-lampwork?ref=shop_home_active_11 (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/152319791/bubbles-urchins-and-carousels-lampwork?ref=shop_home_active_11)
Oooh, sounds so simple Pat! I thought it would be more complicated than that... Do you clean out old bead release first?
I thinks I needs to gets me some thinfire paper & have a play!
It's not re-useable is it?

No, it turns to dust. Wash it away afterwards and try not to breath it in.

Clean out the bead release first and try placing the bead so that the best side will be on top of the cabochon. Really just have fun trying. If a lentil bead has a thermal crack and has split apart, try standing up each half.
Thank you all so much x ;D
