Can anyone tell me how do you make those very thin stripes around a bead. They look like an ink line.
I'm intrigued. I can't get a stringer thin enough so I thought there might be a magical technique.
Encase a blob of intense black with clear and pull a stringer.

Making thin stringer is easy, heat a small bit of glass-hot. Grab it with tweezers and pull fast. The quicker you pull, the thinner the stringer. The skill is applying hair-thick stringer rather than making it as it snaps, balls up and generally misbehaves. Cased stringer also works, but if its going on opaque glass it looks different than 'naked' stringer.
Once you have your super thin stringer, heat the bead and holding it below the flame touch to the bead and spin it round.
To stop it from splitting, heat gently till it's melted in!
Intense black is great!

Ha ha I meant deep black .... Don't know why I put intense ... Although you can use it deep black is much cheaper!
