I've been approached by someone who would like to commission a blown decanter. This is not something I can do. Anyone out there fancy it? :)
I think... it might be a little tricky to blow big enough to get to sensible decanter size on many torches? Though I am sure it is possible, and that it would be even more possible with a lathe. Or a furnace...
Wouldn't be for me though, unless they were wanting a very small decanter! :D :D
I have actually blown a couple of decanters before, but they are a pain in the butt to make.
They would probably be better talking to a furnace worker, but this will probably make it very expensive.
Thanks. Thought as much - anyone know someone who might be interested? I told them it wouldn't be cheap but they seemed ok with that! ;D
would they pay enough for studio hire and transport??? little trip across to sunderland Ann (Qwirky)
Not sure! I can ask :)
Would anyone in their right mind want to pay £400 or more for me to make a dodgy decanter?
Me thinks not :) lol
But hey if they do I'll have a go :)
Richard Golding would probably oblige:
