Title: cubic zirconia
Post by: turnedlight on November 22, 2007, 10:28:40 PM
I have just bought some little sparklers to put in my beads - any tips for positioning them? I thought maybe glue them onto a stringer or something.. they are too small to hold in tweezers.  :)

Use white glue (Elmer's or a tiny bit of PVA) to glue them to the end of a mandrel. Or honey, I heard recently that it's good for fusing!

Hi,

How did you get on with the cubic zirconias?  I am hoping to give them a try!

I don't have a pic, but I have done a couple.. I accidently buried one too deep, and it ended up encased! It doesn't look bad, but they look better on the surface. I think you probably have to push it in enough that the glass will come over the edge of the stone a teeny bit, otherwise there would be nothing to hold it in.. but otherwise quite easy to do. I will try and take a pic for you! :)
