I ordered some yellow on tuffnells and when it arrived it was electric yellow. I noticed on the site that yellow and electric yellow have the same code. I emailed in and the lady said she thought they were the same glass. She was going to get back to me but has not yet.
I am looking for a nice trans yellow that would fit well with a rainbow spectrum of transparent colours. I find the electric yellow just that bit too luminous and bright. Is there another coe104 trans that would fit this criteria?
Thank you in advance.

there is straw yellow, that's they yellow of striking red before it strikes
Mimosa, the lighter one. It's like sherbert lemons. It's streaky, though, rather than solid.
There is also a Lauscha semi-trans yellow - see here http://lauscha.heatherkellyglass.co.uk/content/snt-145-yellow-6-8mm
and an orange-yellow http://lauscha.heatherkellyglass.co.uk/content/snt-151-yellow-orange-6-8mm
If you use them thinly they are more transparent.
Or you could use effetre light amber.
Thank you :)
Don't Effetre do a striking yellow?
I had the same problem when I made some rainbow disc beads a while back, the yellow (Effetre striking yellow) doesn't look quite right and is not as transparent as the other colours either! But it was the best I could find...will be keeping an eye on this thread to see if anyone can suggest a good alternative!
