I have made a number of glass "houses" as flat, house shaped panels but would like them to stand upright. Is it possible to fuse a base onto them if yes how would I go about this? I would like the base to be deep enough for a candle to sit on it. Thanks in advance.
I suppose it might be possible with a series of dams and moulds - but remembering that even tack fusing occurs at much higher temperatures than slumping, you'd need to plan that extremely well, to avoid any distortion.
If the house piece was tall enough, you might be able to slump it over the end of a block, so that the end is hanging off and drapes, creating a 'L' shape, but you'd need to experiment with the right temperature slump between getting the correct angle and not being too hot as to distort.
