When I was teaching I used to wrap a couple of toilet rolls in foil paper and sit them either side of the torch. Not the best looking option but seemed to work quite well. ;D Cheap ones (like Happy Shopper) seem to be the best! ;D
Or half fill a couple of those self fill plastic bags with uncooked rice. It then conforms to the shape of your elbows or wrists.
Pat's solution is much more elegant than mine....! ;D
