Title: creation station
Post by: shannon on February 24, 2013, 07:15:22 PM
I am new to lampworking..I'm finding it really difficult to create a base bead because I suffer from really shaky hands..especially when I try get the glass to the mandrel..does anyone know if  'creation station' is useful for this...I don't want to spend a hundred quid and find it's doesn't help...any advice on this would be useful and gratefully received...

I wouldn't be without mine now.....no shakiness at all! I move the arm rests to all different angles depending on what im making and it helps every time.

Fortunately I have fairly steady hands so I removed the wrist rests from my creation station but I wouldn't be without the elbow rests (even if the neoprene pads do smell dreadfull if hot glass hits them!)

It also holds the torch securely on the bench.

I find the elbow rests more useful than the wrist rests, which don't seem to be in the right place, but they all help some of the time. Definitely improved my work

I find my creation station really useful too. It might be worth seeing if someone has one on here they want to sell.
