The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnells Glass (thank you Martin et al!) and Frit Happens!
Each month the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnells. The draw will take place at the start of **March** (Please note I am going to be away for the first few days) so make sure you get your entries in before midnight on the last day of February to be in with a chance to win the goodies!
Please note that the entries should be new work.
So, the theme for the month for February 2012 is Organics.
If you use photobucket to post pics what size height & width do you have to use? :)
I've got no excuse then, have I?
I love organics too, so no excuse for me this month, either
Linda x

Gorgeous beads all of them :)
Lovely Carrie Stoneground is my fav go to for organics ;D
Ok, in the spirit of ensuring that the newbies aren't too put off to enter, here is my organic lentil bead. It actually started life as a gravity round bead but I got bored with it and lentiled it. Added some Gaia silver glass and happy with colours.

Oi Mark, no need to excuse yourself for being a newbie - that's a lovely bead ;D Look forward to seeing it in the flesh in due course!!
That is a really lovely bead, love the colours in it :)
I was told off this weekend by Krysia for not having posted in here, so here are 2 from last week. Commando, ivory and a touch of DH in these.

There is some stunning work in here. I love organics soooo much.
Not much good at organics. This is the best I can come up with so far, an organic pattern as opposed to shape.

I love everyone's beads! and they're all so different!
Organic really isn't something I've tried, I think maybe I need to learn a bit of restraint, especially with the silver foil :) Here's my effort, front and back of the same bead (apologies for the dodgy photos)

Sediment is an Effetre glass - not sure if it's available in the UK - but if you would like a rod to try PM me your address and I'll fling one in your direction next weekend (I'm working away all this week).
Carole
Ohh Jeanette - you finally finished the plate .... it looks amazing. I will have to pop round for close inspection!
Loving the beads everyone ... I've been making quite a few organics since this challenge popped up. Lots of inspiration on here!
Yes what a wonderful plate Jeanette :)

This sounded like a fun theme; I was looking forward to seeing what everyone would come up with, and you lot certainly didn't disappoint! Some absolutely scrumptious things here (and some ideas I may, ahem, take inspiration from...) and a variety of approaches; my particular personal favourite is Jeannette's plate.
So this is my effort; I hope it's "organic" enough. These are about 2.5 cm long, and the plan is to turn them into a pair of earrings, but I don't have the right wire for the hooks right now, so, until I find some, they're just some beads on headpins:
