Title: Kugler frits and enamels, any experiences?
Post by: noora on December 12, 2012, 08:19:32 AM
My local glass dealer has started selling Kugler frits and enamels. She doesn't have photos yet, so I have no idea what they look like. Can anyone share experiences of these, or even photos?

Beadbug (Caroline) sells some, so you could check out her site...  http://www.beadbug.co.uk/beadbugfritshop/cat_637640-Frit-Blues.html

Thanks! :-)

Our glass dealer has 1-2 mm frit and 8-11 mm frit. I don't quite know what I would do with the larger one. I wonder, if it's COE 96, can you still pull (thin) stringer and use (sparingly) on COE 104 glass?

Hi Noora

Yes you should be able to pull into stringer and use sparingly ... try a few beads to test it out!

Some of the bigger frits are used to pull stringers. I have a kiln with a bead door and I warm them up  in there first before I put near the flame! x
