I have some opaque pink glass that I bought from Tuffnells a couple of years ago or so. I think is Effetre 260. I've lost the label so I can't be sure, but I did a complete inventory a while back and compared to my invoices, and it should be 260.
A short while ago I ordered some Effetre 260 from a local glass store here in Sweden and got something very pale and rather cream coloured. I did a quick test in the flame and it didn't turn much pinker (might be it needs more striking? the old pink didn't need striking...). I'm wondering if the one I had before really was 260, or if my local glass store sent me the wrong glass, or if the batches really vary this much.
Any ideas? What should Effetre 260 look like and how should it behave?
The glass to the left in the photo is the one I got from Tuffnell long ago. The one to the right is the one I bought recently.

I've a feeling that there was a 260BP which was a special called bubblegum pink?

The rod on the left is the colour I stock. I've only ever had "pink" 260 Effetre pink.
The 260 I got from tuffnells was the one on the right in you pic. Light Pink.
Thank you :)
Off-mandrel calls their 260 "bubblegum pink" and it's listed under "specials". Kaz, do you know if the "bubblegum pink" is supposed to be the darker one or the pale one?
I just found my old invoice. I bought "591260 Opaque Light Pink" from Tuffnell in 2009 and it must be this glass as the other pinks I have are still labeled. But if they've got the pale one too now I won't try getting more from them, then :-\
I'll check out your store, Kathy. I really like that pink, and perhaps you have some of the other glass I want too :)
