Aside from "very carefully" how do you open a hobbyfuser to peek inside?
<Looks hopefully>
I've opened mine at various stages and had no issues - I just lift the lid (carefully) and look in ... obviously don't open it too wide or keep it open for too long ...
This post has lots of good tips - from people who know much more than me :D
Do you get a hot blast when you open it?
I'm actually opening my top loader kiln at the moment to charge a large cast I've got in there. It's so big that there's no other way to fill it with the glass it needs so have a steel container for the glass, hi temp kevlar gloves up to elbows and an eye firmly fixed on the controller temp. Although at 900c the drop as I open the lid isn't a big issue.
