Title: Opening a hobby fuser

Aside from "very carefully" how do you open a hobbyfuser to peek inside?

I've opened mine at various stages and had no issues - I just lift the lid (carefully) and look in ... obviously don't open it too wide or keep it open for too long ...

I'm actually opening my top loader kiln at the moment to charge a large cast I've got in there. It's so big that there's no other way to fill it with the glass it needs so have a steel container for the glass, hi temp kevlar gloves up to elbows and an eye firmly fixed on the controller temp. Although at 900c the drop as I open the lid isn't a big issue.
