Title: Flame polishing
Post by: lantana on July 20, 2012, 04:11:33 PM
O.K, so I am making some beads with details which are squashed flat thinish pieces of glass. They also happen to be white! It is proving very difficult to flame polish out the chill marks whilst maintaining the shape I created. Any hints please? I am using a small flame and wafting them in and out as carefully as possible :)

I'd suggest using your normal size of flame and keep the bead far up in the flame and moving. Don't keep it on any one spot. Just kind of stroke the flame all over one side of the bead, let the glow fade, then do the other.
