Sorry - I hope last dumb question. The instructions say oxy must be fully off on torch before you light it- is that with the knob turned fully towards you or away? Would it be obvious if it's wide open? :-\
I think you turn it away from you to turn off... But you can hear/feel the air coming through if your oxycon is turned on and the torch is "open"
you need the oxy con to run for a couple of minutes before youstart torching so turn it on then play with the torch knob leaving it open till you are ready to start torching. then turn it off. turn on the propane and light it then turn the torch oxy knob till you have the right " candles" there is a good step by step thing to set them right elsewhere on here I will try and find it
