Title: Ventilation help please
Post by: lantana on May 21, 2012, 11:22:31 AM
Hi all, I have just received my ventilation fan from Tuffnells. I am told that people use all sorts of ways to attach their hoods near the torch. I am in a wooden office building. Please can you let me know how you rigged yours up? Brackets? stands/ to the wall? I don't see how it could easily attach to a wall as it does not have a straight edge. Thanks:)

We have attached mine at home to a board that leans against the wall . This means that the position can be adjusted if its not doing its job :)

Brilliant, thanks so much for that, just not very DIY savvy so it really helps to see a photo :)

How did you attach the fan and ducting up at ceiling level? :)

Mine is a 'mobile' unit.

The 'trumpet' sits on my workdesk, the rest of it is in a box under the desk.
When I need to set up, I pull the rest out of the box, 'thread' it into the kitchen where the fan part sits on an old plastic Sainsbury's crate and the 'exhaust pipe' is threaded out the kitchen window.
Reverse instructions when I pack up torching  :D

Thanks for asking this question and thanks for the picture Manda. I keep looking at mine scratching my head wondering how to connect it all together and now I know!
