Title: Heliotrope Frit
Post by: Ant on March 20, 2012, 10:20:23 PM
I've got some Heliotrope frit from Tuffnells and wondered if anyone could suggest some good base colours that work well with it?  I had a play with it on a rod of Ivory (or possibly Dark Ivory) this evening and got a grey mess - I guess that both glasses were just too reactive!!  I tried Googling info on it and have so far found out that it is a striking glass but that's about all. Any help or advice would be great please.  ;D

Looks nice on periwinkle or any pale blue opaque.
Or pale pink transparent if you swirl it about a bit!

Or on clear.  Works well on clear, or encased white.

Agree periwinkle or blue pastels. Most frits don't like ivory as a general rule.

Transparent very light purple, like Count Von Count or Effetre 081. I was thinking of trying it with a wrap of silver leaf as well to see what happens.
