First batch off beads are now proudly sitting on my table but I only managed to make ten.. I know I could off got a lot more than that in my sc2 but I still need to sort out how im going to get them to sit on my shelf to get the best out of my fifty pence firing cost..I was wondering how many do you frit people get in?.... Photos would be great... I cant wait to see who gets the most.. :)
Er, no photos, but when I batch annealed, I just chucked them in a heap on the floor - certainly hundreds at a time :)

i make bead kebabs.
old bent mandrels cut to fit in the kiln, prop the mandrels at each end.

Wow, Thats alot ..... ;).... Loving the pic Scarlett what a very sophicated way of doing it.. I was going to just place my beads all spaced out on the kiln floor, like cookies in the oven but this way you get alot more for your fifty pence worth!

If it's annealing as I go and through the bead door then it's like your picture Mandy. If I batch anneal then I put them on mandrels like Scarlett does but use chicken wire to support the mandrels. I can fit quite a few rows in then depending on the size of beads.
I put mine in at one side and after a couple move them all across to the other side until I finish or the kiln is full. It was the way I was taught and means that I don't put a slightly sticky bead on top of another. Or if batch annealing I put them lose in the bottom of a pyrex bowl or lid, whatever is to hand and put that in the kiln. Whatever works for you I guess.
I wouldn't really recommend cramming your kiln quite this full, but this was when I knew I needed a bigger kiln!

Don't often count, but I did once.... 335 on a batch anneal in a pyrex bowl ;D
I have an SC3 but no bead door my limit is about 10 as mandrels get to hot to move them even with wlding gloves on

I usually have time to make between 10 and 30 beads and they always all fit with lots of extra room in my SC2.

Ah, you need one of these - not what it is intended for but great for moving those too hot mandrels around.

Or a spare pair of pliers does just as well, or a wad of kitchen towel soaked in cold water. More money to spend on glass then.
I batch anneal - my kiln has 1.4 cu ft capacity - so I suppose I could do thousands :o
But in reality I usually wait until I have about 50 or 60 and then just pile them up on a shelf ;D
