I have had to place a wee order for this....very pretty :)
I have made this

I made this one quite a long time ago, an antique clear hollow with triton (I think) stringer. I've also not used antique clear for ages, not sure why as it's lovely glass.
Still love your snow queen Sabine :)
Here's a lentil made with Antique clear over silver foil. Not sure quite what happened to the silver foil as it went kind of opaque under the encasement. Maybe I got it too hot. Never mind, it's quite pretty anyway...

I always get that reaction with silver foils under transparent greens.

Love this colour and everyones beads!
P.S. I used Kaz'z Magical Mystery Tour Frit, which is gorgeous!
still playing with DH, this is terra 2 with antique clear encasing, adds a bit of the blue green lustre, the photo really does not do it justice, there is a nice sparkle as you turn the bead in the light
(http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n514/tomcat_beader/antiqueclear.jpg)
the antique clear is really nice to encase with and i will try it with others
Looking lovely everyone!

My first attempt at sugared beads with frit from Vicki Veebee:
For those who make them, should I have left the frit more 'sugary', i.e., less flashing through the flame?
Linda xxx
They look OK to me! If you leave the frit more sugary, it can be sharp and scratchy too!
Kazx
Thanks, Kaz

Well, believe it or not, there is some Antique Clear here under all the silver foil and frit (Kaz's 'Marina'...lovely)... :-\

thats real pretty that is :)
This one is antique clear and dirty martini.

Antique clear and CiM rainforest, with kronos shards:

And I used antique clear for the encasing in this bead - it's got rainforest with a wrap of dark silver brown as the base and has cracked just through the base (I keep encasing CiM opals when I know it's not a good idea for most of them...)

I got some antique clear out today, now i remember why i don't use it! :o It's sooooo stiff, i wrangled it into a bead eventually though so pictures later maybe :)
I must have several different batches of this. Strange how they all look the same in the rod and before you etch them.
And then they do this :-
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QctWqhVAH3U/Tq1hvBmLwkI/AAAAAAAACxU/naq2z7q4ANI/s400/DSCF3596.JPG)
Beads with lots of different size holes. Top string are 1 mm next round is 2.4 and the last string is 1.6. In the centre from the top they are 5 mm, 6 mm and 3 mm in the little cluster to the right.
Hi
This is is my first ever post on FH - but loved the idea of a monthly colour challenge and I thought I'd give it a go! Never used Flickr either so hope it works!! Lovely work everyone! Very inspiring and a little daunting to a newbie like me!!

Lovely bead, Claire...and welcome to FH ;D
Ohh Claire Louise - that is a beauty!!
Julia - that colour difference is strange!!
I love this colour etched, but for some reason it seems to be very hard to get it clean properly afterwards. Anyone else have that problem?
Well seeing as I dont have my own set up yet and pay by the hour to use one, I dont have my own glass except some lauscha clear which is gorgeous , I have to say all of the beads are beautiful and I am loving the colour chosen . :D
So many beautiful beads this month - I bought this colour especially for this challenge and I'm so pleased I did - I think I'm in love!

Hi ya
I'm new to making beads and just wanted to say I'm learning a lot from seeing what can be done with various colours, I must get some of this glass.
i need to make a list :)
Thanks
I have a feeling it's going to be a very long list if you wonder round here for too long ;D
