I bought some of Kaz,s dark multicolour mermaid murrini a few weeks ago and its sitting in it bag looking at me and wanting to be used....but I dont want to waste it as its so beautiful, so am scared to experiment. :-[
Has anyone used it, and what would be the best colour/s to use with it to bring out all of its beauty?
It loves greens and neutrals

Kaz they are really stunning
Ooooooh yes - That dirty martini really makes it ping!!
Shirl, I usually put 5 from a pack aside and consider them testers. Some behave really well - others need a little playing with especially if they are reactive.

What a gorgeous thread, I cleared all my cupboards and found some too, so thanks for all the insiration - I love the way it can be dragged to look like paisley, I think I'm going to have to try that! ;D
Thanks Julie, that is gorgeous.
I have been playing with twirling and pushing and manipulating my murrinis, some good results and some not! ;D
My favourite murrini! :D They're so easy to use, just do they're on thing while you're working on the bead.

Looks lovely on Cim Poi too ;)
Oh lovely Amber!
Here is a pic of my first one, dirty martini base, with DM frit and murrini, not yet annealed. I tired to swirl the bottom of the murrini, but it needed a bit more of a twist I think

Looks great! Naughty girl for starting this thread though, I've just gone to Kaz's Etsy shop and not only bought more murrini, but also lots of frit! Oopsie.. :P
