I have just taken delivery of my new torch and the beautifully quiet Tuffnell's extraction fan, and I can figure out how the bits all fit together, but how do you fix the tin bucket so it stays in one place? At the moment all I can come up with is having it resting on the worktop in front of the torch. Any pictures of your set up would be most appreciated, thank you :)

I have one, which I have installed above the workbench. I've propped the rim of the cone on a metal bracket that I fixed to the wall, so that it's angled in front of the torch flame but also have a piece of metal chain taking the weight. The chain is screwed each end to the wall above. Sorry, it's not a very good description but I can't get a picture at the moment.
Hopefully one of the Tufnells crew will pop on and describe the official way to do this. Good luck!

I have my set up in my Loungio, so the whole caboodle sits in a large box under my worktable and gets pulled out each time I torch.
Then the metal cone sits on my worktable close to my torch and its held in place by my bucket of sand and coated mandrels, which prevents it from falling on the floor. The bit where the tubing joins the cone is curved behind the bucket and is held against the wall.
Sounds precarious, but it's perfectly stable and the mandrels are close to hand.
The rest of the kit, i.e., the pump and exit tubing are strung through the kitchen and out the kitchen window.
I wheel my oxycon into the kitchen too, where it gets the benefit of the fresh air through the window.
It CAN be done indoors, and you don't have the hassle of the big freeze in the shedio come the winter.
I DID intend using the spare bedroom, but OH says I will end up a hermit, and he will be on his own in here.
We don't mind the upheaval during torch time, as my lounge has always been a 'working' environment anyway, our PC's taking up a large part of it anyway.

Mine is propped up on some bricks at an angle behind my torch until I can figure out a more permanent solution.
I drilled a couple of holes through the funnel and attached it to a bracket hung from the ceiling. Works a treat at the moment.

Looks like Sandra has strung hers up (I think it's a Tuffers one ) cleverly.
That's great, thanks everyone, we did have a plan, just wanted to check it was kind of along the same lines as other people thought. Hubby busy making the hole in the shedio wall a bit bigger right now, it was just too much to hope for that it was the same size as the cooker hood that was up there :D
