I've been playing with an absolutely gorgeous range of new Effetre colours and have just added pics to my Flickr album and wrote a blog post about my first thoughts. I'll keep playing with them and will add pics as I go along.

Thanks Julie reading enjoyed seeing your lovely beads made with the new colours. I think I might just have to get some Carribean Sea
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Now i have to repeat all day:
I do NOT need new glas, I do NOT need new glass,... ;)
Thank you Julie that was very interesting. I think there are a few there I might be investing in.
...Do you think that Calio would work well in a sea bead?
Calico, Marmorin, Sediment and Mudslide YUM!
bit worried about pinky winky, it's either rude or an annoying childrens tv character.
edited to add: Logan says your ring toppers are COOL STYLE! and the lentils are like lollypops.
as ever Julie, extremely helpful, thank you, I'd reduced some Neptune the other day and didn't really think I liked it, but looking at it etched it looks lovely,
note to the bead topper swapees..... if you get it, etch it!! :D
I also played with some calico, lovely but my rods seem to be quite lively, they did quite a bit of popping bits off, eek!
Kath
Krysia, dunno, would be worth a try - calico as the sand and caribbean sea as the, erm, sea ;D
Logan, thank you :D :D
Kath, the only rod I found really shocky so far was the dark zucca, but it wasn't too bad (I've got Celadon that's much worse).
o and I liked your beads with dark zucca too, :(, I'll just to get braver! :D

I expect to see a picky tomorrow morning ;)
I find that vetrofond odd, Dark Lichen makes a lovely tide mark on the sea beads.
That'll be Krysia disappointed then :D
There are some lovely results there Julie - I've fallen for the carribean sea.

What a mouthwatering feast of colour that first picture is. I have to say the etched beads are far prettier.

OooOoo what a fantastically moody sea bead. All you need to do now is put some big old wooden war galley or pirates ship on there being tossed about the place.
