I have been busy making a few BHB sets to sell on a friends stall at a fair this Sunday, and haven't had too much reservation before about using COE 90 frit with 104 glass.... until I had a breakage yesterday
Now I'm having a mini freak out as these are going to be the first things I have ever made for sale!
In other peoples experience, am I taking a risk? I have been making some pretty substantial doughnuts with a layer of the frit encased and a layer on top (it's really fine frit)
Any comments or opinions would be greatfully received. I spent an entire day making these in different colour combinations so it would be a real gutter to condem them to the fugly jar - but i'd much prefer to do that if it means I don't dissappoint people and ruin my credibility :-\

My own view would be that 90 is too far away from 104. I happily use 94/96 with 104 and have generally had no problems. If you want to use 90 COE frit, why not get some bullseye to work with?
In any case I would leave these a while before selling just in case they do develop problems. I did have problems with one set last year that I had made in Oz and brought back for annealing but have had no other problems with using 104 with 94/96. I've never tried anything lower other than with bullseye.
