The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnels (thank you Martin!) and Frit Happens!

Each month the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnels. The draw will take place on at the end of the month so make sure you get your entries (beads and jewellery) in to be in with a chance to win the goodies!

So, the theme of the month for MAY 2011 is ALL THAT GLITTERS !!!

Feel free to interpret the theme in whichever way you choose! You can try anything that's shiny, basically ... leaf .. foil ... silver glass ... pixie dust ... have fun :)

I was going to suggest Off Mandrel or Warm Glass but can't see it on their sites. Do people like Cookson Gold or Palmer Metals sell?

Ages since I have played with Dichroic with lampworking. This is rainbow 3 or splinter. Huge splinters of Dichroic!! Base is CIM cranberry, encased with clear and white stuff added cos I saw someone else play with white this way :D

Ordered some gold leaf from two different sellers on eBay yesterday - and both packages arrived today! Very impressed. Sadly, I'm away til Sunday so can't try it out! Still no good source of silver foil. Leaf a-plenty, but no foil.

I used silver wire to give the beads their sparkle, and them teamed with lots of Swarovski to make a very sparkly bracelet!

I think I should make a set (I know, don't fall over in shock, well maybe if I actually do produce a set, then you can fall over in shock) of those little silver glass ones. but that would mean I'll have to make another twisty for the swap...I used 2 bits that broke off for those

or I could just make more twisties...shame!

Thought I'd have a go at my first challenge:
I have just got some DH glass: Kronos , Aurae, Clio and some others and have had a play!

My first try with Clio...... it started out with colour so I added some silver wire! Then it went all eeeuuuch!!
