Title: Shaping beads in a crunch press
Post by: jammie on April 16, 2011, 12:09:41 AM
I had an idea to make some  tile shaped  beads and thought I could make them using my crunch press but trying to get the shape look like its meant to be that way rather than a mistake  is proving difficult  i've made tubes and pressed ending up with a nice shape but trying to make a shorter more squared shape isn't working very well and getting the ends nice and even is tricky. Anyone done this type of thing with a crunch am not  too confident about trying to handshape them  which is why I tried the crunch.

I just make a largish round bead, squash it between two marvers, and heat and tidy up the edges one by one. x
