Title: Do I need ventilation fo my kiln?
Post by: ShinySnail on January 28, 2011, 05:24:09 PM

I have only just thought of this - when I have finished my beads and skip the kiln to the next cycle do I still need to worry about ventilation or have the bad fumes already burnt off by this stage?

I normally just switch everything off and leave the kiln going, I'm in a bedsit so there's no escape!
:-\

Thanks,
Anna

i dont think so ...i know a few types of kiln can be a bit smelly first couple of firings but i always turn off my vent when leaving the kiln to do its thing .....but its out in the shed .... but i guess if in doubt leave it on ....hope its not to noisy though  ;)
