I don't really know much about how it all works, but I'm struggling to find UK stockists of the Vetrofond odds (especially sparkles!) and also the Cool Colours Blueberry Marble and Fossil...
Why can't the suppliers just make some more! :D
It seems a bit odd that if this glass is so hard to come by, then why is is being sold for regular prices on the US/Australian sites? Darn the £50 P&P/Customs charges I say!!!!
I haven't been to flame off before, perhaps there may be some available there from international stall holders?
Just after a bit of info and advice please on weather I'm persuing an impossible mission here!
Thanks,
Anna
Im afraid its a lot to do with the manufacturers, i know tuffnells arent allowed the vetro odds because there is already a european distributor and the Effetre cool colours are made in batches, and a lot of it goes to america so we dont get much of it here in the UK, you just have to be quick when Martin says he has some ;)
Its not a bad idea to order from frantz if you really want some, most of the time even with postage it turns out cheaper or the same price as here!
ditto gems :) a lot of glass i have ends up being coveted with the last two rods, its more like a collectors item to me! I think some of my christmas money will be spent on a frantz order, they have so much more stuff (especially effetre lovelies) If there is something you are absolutely dying to try though pop up that you are after a rod or two in the looking for section and some lovely fh'er may come to your rescue! x
Who is the European distributor the vetrofond odds ??? I know Glassworks were at one time... Are they still?

Yep Q is the european distributor for the vetro odds
glassworks france have lots of vetro odds on their website at the moment
I have bought 2 HUGE Frantz orders in the last couple of weeks, mainly vetro and effetre odds with a view to sell by the rod, just have to work out logistics.
Ohhh thanks peeps, have lots to think about here - I hadn't seen either the Frantz or Glassworks sites before so will have a nose this evening, I had a quick peek and the prices on Frants are great, I can see what you mean about the postage not being such a biggy.
;D ;D ;D
I love shopping, thanks!
Then Mr Customs likes to have his share!!

Just remember that Frantz sell by the lb not the Kg when comparing prices ;)
Having said that, I now order from Frantz on a fairly regular basis for the colours I can't get here - they also have loads of Cim colours as stringer - for when I can't be bothered to pull them myself.
Sooz in the shed sometimes has some vetro odd lots too. :)
Sometimes it's worth sharing an order with someone else if there's not a lot you want!
