I made a whole bunch of rounds and pillows with ekho and aether yesterday and half of them have cracks. Not your standard thermal cracks but jaggety cracks all through the aether layer in all sorts of directions. Not quite sure if this is a known problem as I'm not a usual aether user as the cost is quite high and you can't get it in the UK but from what small stash I have I wouldn't have expected it to crack against a DH glass. I've used it successfully with aurae before this.
any ideas?
Ohh I've not tried it, but that does sound like incompatability cracks!
its defo incompatibility cracks as i know thermal cracks oh too well. I'm just a bit gutted as used a good few rods of aether finding this out! ::)
Oh no! I'd let Double Helix know about that. Haven't heard of that happening before.
Funny you should say this, I had to chuck a set of beads made with triton, and quite possibly aether (not totally sure I'm afraid) The cracks were all random and curvy. I hadn't had that sort of problem before and I've made quite a few beads with the triton really metallic under the encasing. I had put it down to thermal cracks.
