Title: Kiln arrived this morning.......!!!!
Post by: Fruddy on October 26, 2010, 01:43:21 PM
After speaking to Martin yesterday, I decided to go with the Prometheus Pro-7 and it arrived just as I was leaving for work this morning!

Hence I didn't get time to unpack it!! >:(

I'm sat here clock watching now, waiting until I can go home (and as luck would have it I'm on the rota for rotten lates this week, so can't leave until 5:30 pm - patience was never my thing!!!)

Martin very kindly emailed me an "Idiot's Guide" for programming, which I'm sorry to say wasn't nearly simple enough for a simpleton like me, so no doubt tonight will find me searching the forum for what to do, although I am hoping that it comes with instructions!!!

I'm a happy bunny today.

;D ;D ;D

I'm really pleased for you  :)  I would imagine it does come with instructions, the SC2 did?

Enjoy your new kiln!  :)
I have a Beadcube, it is really easy to use but I was sooo nervous the first time I put it on. Kept anxiously checking it like it was a new baby!

If it doesn't, I'm sure Martin can advise you of a schedule... Then you can post it on here for future reference ;D

You do know of course that once a kiln has been unpacked and lovingly polished it must be worshipped for several weeks before you can even think about plugging it in and switching on and then should it be heard to make a noise ( barely perceptible in a room with no other equipment running) then it should be immediately switched off and then worshipped for another several weeks, before another attempt is made !! LOL

Good luck   Mike   ;D

I'm supposed to worship it?? So the swearing and cursing during programming isn't necessary? Ah I wondered where I was going wrong. :-) Enjoy the new toy.
