As I live in NZ my glass rod supplies are limited. I have seen some really stunning pinks in beads which I would like to reproduce. What colours produce a stunning colour?
Plus does anyone buy in from overseas, for example the USA, and can recommend a supplier?
I have also checked out the Australian sites but Each one has something I want and don't really want to pay lots of postage if I can get it all from the one place.
Hiya, are you kidding!? You have Gaffer in NZ.... fantastic colours. And yes, the pinks are yummy. They are situated in the North Island.
There are loads of suppliers. Start with Franz maybe (USA)

Do you have any links to the pink you are referring to? If it's the transparent but with real depth and almost seems to glow, it could be Clio, which is a Double Helix glass. Reichenbach also make some beautiful and stable pinks ;D
Ah they sell Gaffer on the online shop I bought my torch from. The colours look great, but as a newbie I was scared to branch into COE96 :-) All my glass is COE104. Was thinking Reichenbach, cool frits, Aventurine GOldstone, anything that works with COE104.
The Gaffer colours do look stunning. I hadn't realised it was a Kiwi company.
Oh, I don't have any links, but I will certainly look for them.
Franz USA is an amazing shop. Now just need to work out shipping costs. PLus we can only buy approximately 120 US Dollars worth of goods from overseas without Customs fees. After that custom fees and VAT gets added on. It's not much really. I wonder what it is in the UK?
We can only have roughly £18 worth before we get stung for fees
Oh that sucks.
The American supplier I really like and trust is http://www.howacoglass.com/. The lady who owns the company is really nice and helpful. :)
Is Jamie still at Howaco ? I have always had nothing but fantastic service from those guys :)

I haven't really ordered from her since the beginning of Glassworks France but I think she is because I see her post on LE from time to time about Howaco.
Whats postage like from them, they have some great stuff on the site?
I can't remember but if you put stuff in your cart and then go look in it, you will see that there's a little form to estimate shipping. :)
Otherwise, you can email Jamie, she's always quick at answering emails.
~Oh good, havent cash to buy anything just now but looks a great shop. :)
I send loads of stuff to NZ and Australia, and I'm happy to play around with postage to get the best deal for what you want, strip down packaging, adjust quantities and work with you to get your order to you as quickly and cheaply as possible. You don't need to go ahead with an order if you just want quotes on postage for various quantities or combinations of items. Just PM me if I can help or email if you prefer mail@beadysamglass.com
Have you tried : http://chockadoo.com/ I know its Aus rather than NZ but it is closer at least? ;)
Oh Beady Sam, thank you. I have checked out your site and it looks great. I will probably send you an email soon.

Well I look forward to hearing from you, but please don't feel obliged to buy from me. :) I'm just happy to be flexible and if you want samples or anything before you make any decisions, well thats do-able too ;)
