OK, I've tried it very cool (minimum success), neutral, striking, boiling it, reducing, sticking it in a twistie and they all have one thing in common - WHITE :o
So, is this Cherry Shake an expensive stick o' white?? Or are there some secret streaks of red in there I am missing?? Is anyone out there actually using it?? Or do I have MUG written on my forehead for buying it?? (Don't answer that last bit ...)
I've got a horrible feeling I know the answer already, but I'm happy to try any suggestions.
Fire away ('scuse the pun :) )
I don't think it's you. I know when Dragon Jools tested it on her blog, she said pretty much the same thing - that it was white!!
Someone was saying the other week that the only way to keep the pink was to work it very very cool, but it sounds like you've tried that already.....
Didn't redhotsal have some of this that she was underwhelmed with a while ago, I bet she will have good tips if it was her
I got white too!
I tried making a pig with it - same result - a white pig . . . not at all impressed.
... sigh - I thought so. It was worth a try. Thanks anyway, folks.
I think a very thin red stringer and white (the cheap white OR cherry shake seeing as they are the same >:( ) would have a similar (or better) effect anyway.
green tea is pretty much the same..... no streaks at all
might as well buy dirty martini ::)

mine is streaky - not an obvious sreak and is more minty!
i like the colour, i use it as a base a lot, just not what i thought it would be,
i can see the streaks when the bead is hot,
i dont think i would pay for more as dirty martin is as good if not better, not as minty tho!
sandy
Making these on the hothead I got very, very pale pink, you can see it's pink if you hold it against white, but otherwise it looks white. Don't get much cooler than a hothead. I like it under the pink lady though.

Some nice tips here, thanks people :)
I do have a few rods of pink lady - I'll turn down the torch and have a play.
Interesting about the green tea too. I'll stick to drinking the brew variety for now :)
Helen - they're beautiful beads, so precise (.....but it still looks white!)
Agree about the cherry shake - just get white but I love green tea - it's just hard to photograph :)
