The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnels (thank you Martin!) and Frit Happens for July!
Each month the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnels. The draw will take place on at the end of the month so make sure you get your entries (beads and jewellery) in to be in with a chance to win the goodies!
So, the theme of the month for JULY 2010 is ON THE BEACH!
And just to get you in the mood......

I have re edited it to get a bit closer, my DH has just set off to Silverstone with the camera so cannot take any closer for the mo.
I am a bit challenged when it comes to technology
(http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo129/CLawrence/Pebbles/IMG_2568xx.jpg)
Julia do you etch your pebbles or tumble them? Mine are etched but I wanted them a bit more pitted so have bought a tumbler but I have been disapointed with it so far. Yours look to have a rougher surface than mine which I like.

I love this challenge, and all the different styles posted so far!!
I've been desperate for a shell focal press for ages, now I have one!

Ohh Sarah, that's lovely!
Hi Julia - the press is not hard to use at all, but it is big so takes a little while - but I love it!
Here's a bag charm I've made out of my beads (I kept this one ;D)

I made these when I was chilling out last week. I couldnt even form a round bead at the time
so I thought I would have some fun instead. There was a 3rd but it broke in two.

What lovely balls! ;D
And lots of other lovely beachyness. Time for a dip in the ocean now.

Edit to correct the spelling of Nudibranch
The beachy work here is amazing and TDF!!! Here is one of my contributions that sold on etsy

more pics and bigger ones on my blog.
Those are lovely, Madeline!
Here are my beachies:
Tide coming in. They didn't quite come out as intended and are a bit bitty.
(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4073/4803223320_bc53304f03_b.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalorlo/4803223320/)
But these are definitely in the running for my favourite beads so far. Ocean over white with Kaz's broken biskwits murrini.
(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4094/4802593995_917da48412_b.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalorlo/4802593995/)
CiM sapphire with some swirls of sherwood inside, with SIS shards and Kaz's murrini.
(http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4082/4802594087_7a2af66e49.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalorlo/4802594087/)
Thermal cracked this one, unfortunately. Ocean over sherwood with murrini and SIS. I picked the murrini at random and I don't think I should have used the blue and red one, and the SIS was a bit of an afterthought. The back is really pretty with little sparkles from the ocean that wouldn't photograph :P

I made another one that I like better :) Also an octopus!

(http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af14/crocosmia60/beads010410046.jpg) Sold and since made into a piece of jewellery by Jane Tyrrell.

Not sure if this is "on the beach", perhaps more "too hot on the beach so I went in the water".
My first attempt, and last until I get a hotter torch as it almost killed me, at a biggish bead with stuff in it.
