Title: Optic Molds
Post by: AnnaSpanna on July 02, 2010, 11:37:50 AM
I am looking to have a go with optic molds but am reticent to fork out £35 for one before I've had a go and see if its what I fancy.

Does anyone have mold that they would be willing to put put on loan to me for a few months? I will gladly papypal you the postage costs. I don't really mind what shape (but preferably the kind of "floral" one).

Thank you lovely FHers in advance  ;D

If you want to get value for money have you looked at the graphic moulds at Tuffnell's? They have 4 or 5 shapes in one.

I got the one with 5 in. Haven't tried it yet, though. What attracted me to that mould is that I don't have to work so big. The traditional moulds are massive, and you need a huge amount of glass. With my failure rate I'd prefer not to waste huge amount of glass and time, and still I can have some fun  :D Here's the link: http://www.tuffnellglass.com/contents/en-uk/d62.html
