Title: nuggets
Post by: jammie on June 06, 2010, 11:32:31 AM
I fancied having a go at making little nugget shaped beads, are there any tutorials out there...I wondered if it is just a case of making a round bead and marvering bits of it to make dents,  could it be that simple haha  ;D

I use mashers to gradually go round the bead and add some angles.

Yep. I do the same. Its just a matter of getting them visually pleasing and getting the chill markes out of them by flame polishing after marvering. Have fun.

I haven't got mashers I have some tweezers with flat ends though they aren't very nig, do you think they might work?

Hi Jeannie

I use a marver - you just need to work quite cool and be gentle so that you keep the bead balanced.

I've used tweezers with flat ends too - just give it a whirl, you can't really go wrong!
